Different platforms work best with different video shapes. For example, short-form mobile content usually works best in a vertical format. After recording, you can change your project’s aspect ratio before you export.

Update the aspect ratio

Open your video in the editor. Above the preview, choose the aspect ratio you want to use. You can choose from these options:
  • Auto: keeps the original aspect ratio based on the recorded area
  • Wide: 16:9 for landscape videos
  • Vertical: 9:16 for mobile-first platforms
  • Square: 1:1 for social posts
  • Classic: 4:3 for a traditional video layout
